Hey folks! Happy New Year!
It’s a new year and we’re trying new things!
You’ve probably gotten used to hearing from us every Wednesday, but for a while we’re going to shake things up and you’ll only hear from us once each month. We need some space to work on creating our itineraries and the small adult group trips you’ve been begging for!
So, on the first Wednesday of each month, you’ll still get something from us in your inbox (if you’re signed up…and you are signed up for our newsletter, right? – scroll down a bit and sign up on the right). It will still be a travel tale, an exciting announcement, or some sort of travel tip…just letting you know what we’ve been up to.
As far as travel goes, we may be a bit limited during the Spring Semester this year. Jason took on a new Fellowship at MSU and I think it’s going to keep him VERY busy. Plus, he still has three (in-person) classes to teach, research papers to write and hopefully publish, trainings, conferences, AND education abroad trips to lead. So, like we did last year, we’re going to try to focus on some more local travel and weekend escapes nearby for a bit. You don’t always have to jump the pond to take a break…although we will be busting through the border in April to attend a family wedding in Mexico!
And then there’s the direction we hope to start taking this blog in 2024! We have closed DeNeu Boutique to give us some more space to lean into the travel world and so I feel less like I’m constantly spinning in circles…or at least that’s the goal. We hope to have itineraries available for purchase first, followed by a sign-up for our group trips. I’m ridiculously excited about this! We’ve been trip testing and platform hunting for months. Hopefully, this is all to happen sooner rather than later. Get ready to pack your bags! There will be very few slots available at first

We also have a YouTube channel for when I manage to throw videos together – The DeBode Way. Honestly, it’s not frequent. That takes a lot of time and concentration. But, there is some cool drone footage up there! Check it out!
